POSSESSING GOD’S NO LIMITATION (PT 1) by Pastor Benny Tan
SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: JOSHUA 1:1-9
“Now therefore, Arise, go over this Jordan…Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you.”
Joshua was coming into a New Season; he was going to take on a New role. Of course he was a bit apprehensive and maybe even a bit fearful. God was offering him the ‘No Limitations’ life! Church, God is offering every one of you the same thing. All you have to do is two things:-
Don’t try to work things out. Don’t try to figure out who is going to help you or when it’s going to happen. Let that go! Don’t you try to work it out, Believe that God will make it happen!
- TAKE STEPS TOWARD WHAT YOU BELIEVE GOD HAS FOR YOU
God told Joshua everything was his for the taking, but it wasn’t going to fall out of the sky on to his lap. He was not to question or work it out but he had to do something. Joshua had to ACT – Arise…Cross…Tread!
Church, whatever God has for you is never going to fall on your lap. You have to get up and take steps toward the direction of the prophetic Word. You have to Partner with God and Walk toward the promise, Walk toward what you believe God has for you. The Bible says ‘Faith without works, is dead’ (James 2:17). All the people that experienced breakthrough didn’t just sit there and pray and wait and pray and wait, they all got up and did something.
The mother of Moses noticed that her baby son had something special on him and she witnessed in her spirit that he could be the deliverer of Israel. So what did she do? She took the baby, wrapped him up carefully and hid him in a basket. She said, “Lord, I’m doing my part. I’m trusting You to do Your part.” She ‘took steps’ and released the basket on the river Nile.
At the wedding when the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus came and said, “Son, they have run out of wine.” Did Jesus say He’s going to call down wine from heaven? No! He called the servants and they had to ‘take steps’ towards what Jesus was going to perform.
When God told Joshua he was going to take Jericho. Did Joshua say thank you Jesus and sit back and wait and pray, wait and pray? No! God instructed Joshua to go and march! He had to do something!
Church, are you waiting on God for your promotion? Are you waiting on God for your life partner? Are you waiting on God for your business? Are you waiting on God for your dream to be fulfilled? Wonderful! That’s from God. He wants to give it to you. All God is asking you to do is Partner with Him!
If you know God and you’re walking with Him and serving Him, I believe 2018 is your year of fulfilment! Your year of receiving, achieving, getting whatever God has promised you! Things that you have been thinking about, things that you have been working on and praying over, things that you have been waiting and asking for, God says 2018 is going to be your year! Amen!
