Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life.  No one comes to the Father but by Me!”  Jesus is the only One to claim He is The Way!  He did not say, I am A Way but I Am THE Way!  The definite article ‘the’, means there is No other way!

Jesus went further to say, “Enter through the narrow gate.  For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction and there are many who go by it because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way that leads to life.  And there are few who find it.  Jesus Himself said that we ought to choose the path that we take.  Miracles begin by the hand of God only after you make a decision and honour the decision that you make.  Then God intervenes in your life and He helps you to bring it to pass.  But as long as you’re thinking and talking and dreaming and hoping and wishing, nothing happens!  You have to make a decision and then act on your decision.  Then only God will step in to strengthen you because He is a good God!

In Psalm 1:1a “Blessed is  the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly…”.

God warns us about three characters of people: –

  1. Walk not with the ungodly.

These are those that are morally wrong. Many claim to believe in God but their life does not reflect anything good.  You see from the word ‘good’, you take out ‘god’ and it remains a zero.  So anything that is good comes of God and anything that is not good is not of God.

The Bible says, Daniel and his companions that they chose not to defile themselves even with the King’s best food and everything that the King had.  So when they made the decision not to defile themselves, God gave them the strength to face everything and overcome.

Beloved, what kind of companions do you have?  Birds of the same feathers flock together.  So chose what kind of friends you’re going to associate with because your companions will determine what kind of person you’re going to become.  Daniel and his companions chose not to walk with the ungodly and they were rewarded greatly by God as well as the King.

So the Lord says don’t do these things, then you shall be blessed.  Proverbs 4:14-19 says, ‘Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not go the way of evil men.  Avoid it, do not travel on it; turn away from it and pass on.  For the wicked cannot sleep unless they do evil; and they are deprived of sleep unless they make someone stumble and fall.  For they eat the bread of wickedness and drink the wine of violence.  But the path of the just (righteous) is like the light of dawn, that shines brighter and brighter until [it reaches its full strength and glory in] the perfect day.’

Take a stand in God! He will reward you!
