SEASON OF CELEBRATION OF GOD’S BLESSINGS
BY PS. HENRY PILLAI
SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: ACTS 2:40-47
Pentecost is a time where you enter into an increase of revelation and provision! Everything your hand is put to this year will start to increase. I decree you are cut loose from anything that is keeping you from moving forward!
Nissan is the first month of the Biblical calendar where God sent the first blessing of Jesus, the Lamb of God. Jesus sacrificed Himself for the redemption of mankind.
The second month of Iyyar, is the time of spiritual growth. Through testing we are blessed with the wisdom of being able to overcome all challenges in life.
Sivan is the third month of the Biblical calendar. This is the season the people of God were blessed with the Torah. The Torah was given as a divine guide to live a godly life. It is also the season the Holy Spirit was given to the people of God as a Helper; to empower the Church to fulfil its mission.
The Hebrew letter for Sivan is ‘Zayin’ which is the same letter as the year 5777 so this is a month of ‘Double Blessing’. Pentecost celebrates the season of “harvest”. It marks the Firstfruits of the Wheat harvest! It’s a time to celebrate God as the Provider! It is also a time to RECEIVE God’s provision. So Expect God to open new provision for you in the days ahead!
Sivan is the month of Receiving New Boundaries. Boundaries help to define your identity. God our Creator, gives us life. As a Father, He gives us a Name, an Identity. We are created in His ‘likeness’ therefore our character and destiny is in Him. As His sons and daughter, we have an inheritance. Sivan is the month to Press Into the New Boundaries God is setting for you.
Sivan is associated with the tribe of Zebulun. Zebulun was the 10th son of Jacob. The name Zebulun means “gift”. When his mother named him, she was acknowledging that Zebulun was a gift of God.
The tribe of Zebulun were noted for their ability in “Business”. So Sivan is the Businessman season! God wants you to do some “business” with Him.
Zebulun was a tribe that was Faithful to the Lord. In the times of the judges, 50,000 from Zebulun came to help David at Hebron and served him “with an undivided heart”.
HOW DO WE GET OUR BORDERS EXPANDED
Matthew 25:21, ‘Because you were faithful over a few things, I will make you rule over many.’ This is a season to pray the prayer of Jabez! 1 Chronicles 4:10, ‘Jabez cried out to God, “Oh, that you would bless me and Enlarge My Territory!”’ “And God granted His request!”
So in this season of Sivan, celebrate Pentecost! Let God Enlarge Your Boundaries to bring you into the fullness of your destiny!
