A TIME OF JOYFUL INCREASE – Part 1

By Prophet Cindy Jacobs

You have multiplied the nation and increased its joy;
They rejoice before you according to the joy of harvest,
As men rejoice when they divide the spoil. (Isaiah 9:3)

And the Lord said to me that this is a year of joyful increase.  Joyful increase! Even though there are shakings coming, the Lord said to me, “You must give a supernatural word to be above it all.”  Is it possible to live above circumstances? Yes! So I got Isaiah 9:3 and it says, You have multiplied the nation and increased its joy …” Imagine that, increasing the joy of a whole nation!  Can God do that? Yes, He can! And we are the key for that.

They rejoice before you according to the joy of harvest.  Harvest, harvest, harvest, that is the word.  Listen, the Lord would say you are coming into a “Jesus people movement” in Malaysia.  You are coming into another charismatic renewal. You are coming into a time where …I see like a tsunami flood is going to come but the glory of the God is over the nation.  And people are going to come to Christ through dreams and visions. People are going to come to Christ. They are even going to come to you and say, “What do I need to do to be saved?”  I mean, you are going to be surprised. It is going to be so easy to get people to accept the Lord. And the Lord says, it’s going have new worship, a new sound will come!

If you look at Isaiah 9:2-5, the Message version, it says, The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. For those who lived in a land of deep shadow – light! sunbursts of light! You repopulated the nation, you expanded its joy. Oh, they’re so glad in your presence! Festival joy! The joy of a great celebration, sharing rich gifts and warm greetings. The abuse of oppressors and cruelty of tyrants – all their whips and cudgels and curses – Is gone, done away with, a deliverance as surprising and sudden as Gideon’s old victory over Midian.

Verse 7: He’ll put that kingdom on a firm footing and keep it going with fair dealing (doesn’t that sound like corruption is gone?) and right living, beginning now and lasting always.  The zeal of God-of-the-Angel-Armies will do all this. That’s powerful!

This is a year of transition.  But this is a year when the Lord is bringing us into great things.  And you know, I was asking the Lord about this and He reminded me of the story of Joseph. Psalm 105:17-21 says, he sent a man before them; Joseph was sold as a slave.  And then it says, and till the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him.  And at last he was made lord over his house and ruler of all his possessions.

Now, listen to me, when God gives you a prophecy, Satan wants to test you.  Don’t be afraid of the testing. Because if there is nothing inside of you, if you are walking a pure and holy life, he can’t do anything to you. But sometimes, between the time of the word given and the word coming to pass, there is a battle.  But know this. You are going to win. In fact, the word here where it says, the word tested him is the same word in the Hebrews for the word trial.  It literally means being purified as gold. The Lord watches us to see if we will choose a place in joy in the midst of the forming of our character. When God gives you a word He wants you to have the character to steward the word! God wants to see if we will walk in the character of Christ in the middle of our current challenges.

God doesn’t really need our abilities.  He can give us abilities. He needs us to be stewards of everything we are called to be.  God wants us to be the head and not the tail. It’s like a dog, the tail just gets wagged and drags that dog along.  No, I want to be the head. I want to be in front. I want to be the one that has God’s blessing so I can bless many others.  How are we going to eradicate the poverty of a nation if we are poor ourselves? That was profound. How are we going to eradicate the poverty in the nation if we can’t eradicate our own poverty? This is a Joseph church.  And as a Joseph church, the Lord wants to bless and prosper so you can be a success. So, you can change and bless a nation. Amen!

In my church in Texas, I prophesied that we would be a poverty free zone.  It is a church around five or six thousand. And I was telling the pastors who were very dear friends, I was telling the pastors one day, I am so frustrated.   You know Deuteronomy 15 says that it should an exception if anybody is poor in your midst. And I can’t get anybody to believe it! I was really upset. So, anyway, my pastor said, well, we will do that.  I said because if one church can’t eradicate the poverty of their congregation how are they going to eradicate the poverty of a whole nation? That’s part of our job! We were commanded to be fruitful and multiply in the beginning.  And that commandment never went away, did you know that? So, if we are like Joseph, he was able to feed a whole nation with the plan that God gave him. This is a Joseph church.

So, if you are in poverty today I have good news for you.  The Bible has principles that will make you a poverty free zone.  So, our church began to meet together with the business leaders. And they began to develop a strategy.  And we called it the Eradicate Poverty Class. And people came through it. And the members of our church started giving money, they started bringing money at the altar, like 250,000 dollars came that year and was placed on the altar above tithes and other offerings.  And one by one, the people started getting out of poverty. They started being blessed. People started giving cars to each other. Business people in the church started helping single mothers. They would put carpeting in their house. They would go help remodel. And we began to be a family.  And you know what happened from there? We were able to build the buildings and we were able to bring a lot of cash to do that because the people weren’t in debt and they weren’t paying credit card debts. And they had money to feed themselves and take care of their families and help others. Amen!
