SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK: REVELATIONS 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.”
We have come to the end of year 17 or the Bible refers to a cycle, a season, the appointed times in God and also the beginning of the 18th season, the 18th year.
Let the 17th season go! It was a season of confinement in the mother’s womb. It was a time to strengthen you. It was a time God put some metal in you. It was a time God sharpened you. It was a time God made you wiser, smarter, more careful; God made you more sensitive to the work of His Spirit. As the birthing water-bag bursts, let it burst! Out of it will come a Victor! In Christ Jesus we will accomplish great things!
In the Hebrew language, letters were originally pictures and each letter has a meaning. The letter ‘Chet’ which signifies the number 8, pictures a Door and the letter also means Door. In Revelations 3:20, God puts before us a Door. He is not only standing at the door He’s also knocking the door. And He says, “If any man hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and he will dine (fellowship) with Me.”
If you look at this verse again, it’s very sad because Jesus is standing outside; signifying He’s knocking from the outside. Outside the Church door, outside your heart’s door, outside the door of your life! He’s not on the inside of the Church. He’s outside the Church. There are many Churches in the nations today that call themselves Christians, they call themselves Church but Jesus is not inside, He’s locked up outside! Gay Churches, Lesbian Churches, Gay Pastors. They are not Churches but they claim to be Churches. And here Jesus is telling the Church I’m standing outside but I’m still Not Giving Up Hope In You. He is knocking the door to anyone inside who hears His voice.
And this is what the Lord is saying in the 18th Season. There is only One Door! Which side are you on – the inside or outside? It’s the door of your heart. It’s the door of your life. It’s the door of your future. Jesus says, “Open, Let Me Come In And Your Joy Will Be Full!” Joy is found only in Christ!
The 18th season is going to be a time when you’re going to experience liberty and freedom from things that have shackled you!
