TRIUMPH & REIGN! – LOVE
BY PS. HENRY PILLAI
The number 17 in Hebrew signifies the hand (outworking) of spiritual weaponry that gives us victory. God is saying in this season I want to give My people the ability to use their hands in everything they do so that they will have Victory.
All the concepts associated with the number 16 are foundations for living victoriously in the 17thseason.
The 16th season speaks about the 16 shades of Love found in 1 Corinthians 13. This love is not human love, its divine love. It’s not earthly love, its heavenly love. The man of the world would not understand what kind of love this is because they have not tasted of this great love of God that you and I have tasted. From the 16th season to go to the 17th season, here is the link of this hand.
Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails!
This is the gift God drops from Heaven to us as we believe in Jesus Christ. This is the weapon of God. It’s called the fruit of the Spirit, the gifts of the Spirit. Human love is self-centred, self-seeking, self-promoting and self-destroying. But divine love is always focussed on others and that’s what makes us God-like. That’s what makes us different!
- 1 Corinthians 13:13 says, ‘And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.’ Why is ‘love’ the greatest?
- In other Bible translations, what is another word used for ‘love’? What is your understanding of that word?
Take some time to compare your life with 1 Corinthians 13. It’s easy to talk like a Christian, but do you love like Christ?
